Entrecard - Kamila Now Looking for Drop Swap Sites

Kamila has been with Entrecard for around six months now and a lot of water has passed under the bridge over that time. Kamila has here own views of this debatable community service that Entrecard offer.

Kamila feels that she owes Entrecard something despite the leaning towards a money-geared system that compromises the community. She has made many friends through Entrecard, in fact nearly all here friends are or used to be Entrecard users. The idea that she will continue to make new friends with the existing community there and make and little bit of money with advertisers appeals to Kamila - The best of both worlds as she says. After all her objective is to make a bit of money to help pay her way with her new Bulgarian life

So right now, Kamila will continue with Entrecard and may even give a little dropping in the process, something that she hasn't done for ages, but it will be selective and only done to friends and those who will drop back to here. What she won't do though it spend hours a day dropping to every Tom, Dick and Harry especially now the growing season is in full swing in Bulgaria.

Project Wonderful - We'll See

Well Kamila has been doing her homework and decided that she likes the idea of people bidding for an ad on her site. She knows it might only be a couple of cents, but it is a start and not difficult to set up.

All she did was fill in a simple online application form to sign up, waited for a reply then just set up a wdiget giving her blog details in the process.

Kamila decided to just put on a single 125 x 125 box on her blog, she did have the option to put up to five, but she'll to see how things go with one right now.

These are exciting times for Kamila who now hopes that people will bid on her blog and make a stepping stone to going her own way financially in Bulgaria.

Kamila No Longer a Lady Of Leisure

Kamila has as you know been deep in thought over the last few weeks. We know exactly what her plan is now after she spoke to us in depth over the weekend.

She has a problem, she feel s very guilty about being given a home, love and care and she cannot contribute anything other than 'Thank you'! She want to give more in the way of thanks and was racking her brains to find the best way of doing this.

Kamila has now come up with the idea of making a little business online with her weblog. She has already signed up with adsense and will be looking for more opportunities over the next few weeks. This will keep her busy and less guilty about being a lady of leisure in Bulgaria and help a little to pay the way in these hard times of recession.

So you can expect to see things moving on the business front with Kamlia as she finds her feet. We all wished her the best of luck in her new venture.

Kamila in Transition

Kamila is now in a period of transition. She has been thinking about many things and is not content with just being an observer in Bulgaria. She has fallen in love with the country and the people here and wants to take an active part in providing a living here.

Over the last week or so Kamila has been doing a lot of looking around and trying to find things that she is good at with a secret plan behind it. We have often asked her recently what's she up to, but she just wouldn't give anything away.

Kamila knows full well that times are hard for us all here, there is a recession and jobs are hard to find. Many people have now been made redudant at the boiler factory where Galia works and Galia isn't working due to her operation recovery. There may not be a job to go back to when she is well enough. Kamila often asks what will happen if that was the case. We wonder why Kamila takes such a keen interest on the household finances, is this part of the plan she has up her sleeve?

Well whatever Kamila is up to she will let us know soon enough, she is due to help on the farm now it's April. The work has already begun, but a little spell of wet weather has put it off for a few days. I'm sure she'll tell us all by the weekend.

Geri - Kamila's Monkey Friend

Kamila had been on the farm for a few weeks and found herself back in Yambol this weekend. She will be there fore a few weeks then the work really begins on the farm once April and the growing season starts. Kamila is keen that we don't go hungry this year and will be helping wherever she can.

There was a new friend waiting to meet her in Yambol, Geri the monkey who was also from London, she had arrived a few weeks ago as she was fed up with UK life. the price of bananas had doubled in the last year and you are not allowed to say monkey business as it offends minority communities living there. She had read about what happens here in Bulgaria and even though there isn't much much to live on we were always happy and free.

Kamila took to Geri straight away and before long they were bonded friends alongside Eli Kamila's best friend. It may be that Geri might get a taste of village life with Kamila in a few weeks as she had heard from Kamila that there are sliva (plum) apple and pear trees that she can swing from as long as we took a supply of bananas with us.

Kamila also has been in deep though recently as she has seen her family struggle a bit with their health. We think that she has something up her sleeve, but she won't let on yet. We'll just have to find out what it is in due course.

Chickens Had A Good Life

Village life is now a reality for Kamila as the way of living here in Bulgaria has got a hold of her. Survival is all-important here and no time for sentiment.

It wasn’t long ago that Kamila made friends with many chickens on the farm last year on her holiday, they were subsequently slaughtered and frozen for winter feed. This is normal and part of village farm life. They had a good life free range and the kill was quick an painless. Kamila knows all about this even though she is a vegetarian. She is wise for her years and understanding to a great decree.

Kamila know that villagers are poor and survival is based upon practical living. Vegetarian practices are extremely rare if not non-existent in Bulgarian villages. Livestock breeding and killing is a normal way of life here, perhaps more normal and natural than town and city living in the western world.

Today we had one of the chickens for the pot in a stew. Kamila helped with the cooking and felt no qualms about how this chicken ended up. It is a case of knowing that this is the way of Bulgaria and village farm ways. Kamila knows that supermarket chickens have had no life at all before slaughter and are full of chemicals. At least her old chicken friends had a good and natural life considering that chickens have been bred away from being wild.
