Save Money And Have Fun With Guests In Winter

Kamila is staying in Yambol town this weekend, hence the Entrecard drops to all her friends was made throughout the weekend. This wasn’t the reason for not going to the village; there were many other reasons behind it, mainly the cost. It is with a little wonder Kamila has as to how many other people have a little village retreat they can turn to after a hard week of work.

The cost of spending a weekend in the village is amazingly high. Such as car fuel for 75 kilometres of travel, food, time which involve at least 4 hours with the travel, unpacking, cleaning (vacuuming and dusting inside and sweeping outside) and of course fuel costs namely electric for the immersion boiler for hot water and wood for the wood burner. Kamila had her calculator out and worked out that all these cost put together come to a staggering 40 BGN leva. When you consider that the weekly wage for working a 45-hour a week is less than 100 BGN leva, then that puts it into real perspective.

So it is home that Kamila and her family have opted for this weekend. And that is what this post is all about form Kamila this week. Making savings on fuel food and the like. How much could you save by sharing your home with friends or family for a weekend? What is the cost of heating your home for a weekend when you could share the costs of heating and electric/gas with visitors and reciprocated the following weekend? This is a sensible camel’s thought here in mid-winter and the worry of fuel bills always looming.

So why don’t you invite guest to stay for a weekend? Not only will you save on energy costs, but it would also be great fun. Kamila has found that this is common in Bulgaria throughout the winter months and the benefits are endless, such as saving on phone bills as news can be exchanged face to face.

Winter is hard enough anyway, so to help get through this relatively new experience of a cold season Kamila finds that sharing it with guest really does help the time tick away faster and the savings are a massive bonus.

Kamila says, “Share your home with friends or family this weekend – It makes good sense.”

Follower Widgets On Blogs - A Great Link Back System ANd More

Image representing Google as depicted in Crunc...

Fresh from an extended weekend in the village watering melons and tending to potatoes and sweet corn, Kamila is back in the office kitchen now tending to her blog.

She has made a great realisation this morning when surfing through some blogs. She found that she had been mentioned in a friends blog: cornymans-blogreviews.blogspot.com. This was such a pleasant surprise with the nice things that Cornyman had said. He has given SEO advice to Kamila before now so he is very well versed in SEO matters with many other blogs to his name:
The One Minute Guide
All about babies and kids
Cornymans Money-Blog

This aside, Kamila has now added a section to her blog on the right hand side column. Why she didn’t think of this before is a mystery. Perhaps with so many things to think of it was a basic oversight. There is a section now for followers, (called Kamila’s Kind Friends) where you can view new posts each time they are made, this is through Google’s own “Friends Connect”.

This will now give new back links both ways, Kamila’s PR2 blog to those who follow and back to Kamila from friends’ blogs. In Kamila’s own words, “A great and simple way to add back links and make friends as well!”

Follower Widgets On Blogs - A Great Link Back System ANd MoreKamila now looks for the same system in other bloggers and follows them herself if she likes the blog. How many times has Kamila seen a blog she likes, but then can’t remember where it was? Loads! This can’t happen now with the follower widget in place. And far better than having a RSS subscription clogging up your email inbox!

“Happy days are here again!” says Kamila. “I love Mondays!”

Kamila's Treasured Award

Kamila's Treasured AwardEvery day is an adventure and full of surprises and today the surprise was another award - "The Friends Forever Treasured Award" from Laura her treasued friend at A Touch Of Scrap.

The blushes came out again as Kamila realised that another touch of fame has come over here. But at the same time she can't understand why all this fuss is being made as she just gets on with things like everone else, including camels. She feels that she has done nothing special other than telling people what goes on in here life and how she feels.

Well Kamila, you are not an ordinary camel as you are very fortunate to travel to lands without deserts and meet the kindest people on earth, both in Bulgaria and Bloggers.

Kamila simple said nothing after that comment and just slowly walked away into the kitchen to do more jobs helping Baba with many thoughts of how lucky she is in this world. Lucky indeed in a world seemingly that has so much hate in it - At least that's what Kamila sees on television, but a kind world is there to see looking out on the Yambol streets, to Kamila this is the real news!

It has been a hard couple of days for Kamila as she had to nominate 5 friends in which to pass this award on to. She finally arrive at the five who now will have this bestowed upon them. They of course can pass this on to another 5 treasured friends in their circles.

Kamila back Home

Kamila arrived at her new home and after a good nights sleep she requested that she now doesn't want to continue this daily diary as this is not what she is here for.

She had decided for quite some time now to live her new life with her Bulgarian friends out of the spotlight. She is quite shy and finds that pictures and diary accounts of what she does everyday somewhat get int he way of her life here.

She said we can occasionally catch up with the news of her life her, but not everyday.

We had to agree as Kamila is a free camel and has camel rights just like everyone else, even in Bulgaria.

So, Kamila will be seen on occasions but not everyday.

So Happy

It is such a joy to watch Kamila and Eli talk and play together.they really do care about each other so much. considering they both come from thousands of miles away ended up in Bulgaria together is quite amazing.

An Egyptian camel and an African hippopotamus who would have ever thought that this great friendship would have come about.

The strange thing is they never really talk about where they have come from but what they are doing now and in the future in Bulgaria. They both love it here, "It is so different!" they say.

The both spent most of the time indoors talking and playing today as it was raining. Did this get them upset? No they have each other that makes them so happy.
