Kamila is Looking Forward to Christmas

Well it has been quite journey over the last ten years and Kamila the Camel the original and only Camel Blogger has seen lots, perhaps too much for her own good over the last decade.

It would be quite understandable for Kamila to be confused with life and cultures she has been through - so diverse! From Kuwait to London to Bulgaria to London again and then back to Bulgaria. If you asked her where she felt more at home what do you thing the answer would be?

Kamila, camel, Christmas,
If there is one thing Kamila loves more than most it is Christmas and the lead up to the event. Now she does not have a religion, but the ideal of celebrations for Christmas appeal to her. It is a happy occasion not only for Christians but for her to respect the culture she has now found herself in and be part of that culture. As Kamila said, "When in Rome?" I must admit it is a deeply respective Kamila who has the courage and humility to accommodate a foreign culture without any prejudice.

Having said that, Kamila get s a bit impatient for Christmas to come. In the UK it was upon her in October with a three month build up! In Kuwait, noth In Bulgaria they haven't even started thinking about it in local shops and only a sprinkling on TV from manipulative business minded companies who are trying to steamroller the people into spending throughout the lead up to Christmas. Kamila knows that this doesn't work here with the poverty that surrounds the people here. Needless to say Kamila understands how the most influential brains in marketing force even more poverty with wand of credit!

It is now the time for Kamila to get into the mood and look forward to the best season of the year in terms of happiness. It may get very cold but the heart get warmer at Christmas gets closer. Kamila just loves looking forward to life in Bulgaria again with their unique and sociable way of celebrating occasions such as this/

All in all, Kamila says she is very happy, in fact more importantly, completely content with spending the rest of her life in Bulgaria. I can see what she is coming from and the justification for this will unfold as time goes on.

Kamila the Camel is back in Bulgaria

KAMILA RETURNS TO BULGARIA

It has been a long long time since Kamila the Camel has made any statements or observations.

She has been locked away in London, England for over 6 years with her carers feeling very sorry for herself. Understandable so.

Although she had been there before as she was for sale in the famous Hamleys toy Shop in Regents Street, she never thought she would return.

History now indeed for Kamiila who looks forward to her new life in Yambol Bulgaria. This is where she learned so much about the culture and Bulgarian ways which make so much sense to her now.

So with renewed vigor and refreshed brain, Kamila is ripe for sharing her experiences once again.

Kamila out of Hibernation

It was a tired Kamila this time last year, too much happened within a short space of time that she didn't know what hit here. The result was an exhausted Camel who needed to take time to recuperate and reflect on what was happening in her life.

Now Kamila has come to terms with the situation she finds herself in and is keen to learn more about here surrounding and the life she now lives. It is indeed a Bulgarian environment that she has accepted and takes the rough with the smooth.

From her days in Hamleys the toy shop in London, this is now a far cry. Today she saw the news from London with petty criminals looting shops, gangs attacking police and vandalising everything in their path. She felt so sorry for those she left there in the wake of this. No such thing in Bulgaria from what she has seen here so far, even though the poverty is far worse!

Kamila now looks forward to observing and telling what she finds.

Happy days ahead.

Kamila On The HTML Tweaking Road

Kamila has this idea that she should know more about HTML code. The reason is quite simple, she want to make her blog a bit more individual and she feels that there are many other bloggers out there who want to do the the same but just don't know where to start..

It is a proud Kamila that looks at her blog and has got away form the 'blogger' standard format. It took a lot of time and effort do and even without any knowledge of HTML code, with just copying and pasting code that she didn't have a clue as to the meaning of, worked. Although Kamila's blog template now is different it still isn't very individual enough for her liking. She would like to put some graphics or pictures in the heading but this is far too complicated right now and of course tie consuming. She has however managed to change the text colour and the background colours. this is just the start she feels as she learns more each week.

Without a little tutorial Kamila wouldn't have manage anything. she now has found a site that gives everything she needs to know about HTML codes yet it explains it in simple laycamel terms. You may be thinking this is a sponsored post by Kamila, but it is not. She has used w3schools.com over the past few days and found it more than useful to tweak her blog. Just as an example with the colour changes, she just went to the site section hat gave the HTML colour codes then copied and pasted on her HTML template where she found different colour codes already in place. By using the preview option she could easily see whether she liked it before saving. She did of course save her template code by downloading it then uploading this in case things went pear shaped.

This is the start of something quite exciting for Kamila as she takes another step forward in blogging technique. She invites anyone to have the confidence to try it out, it really is quite easy and fun.

Kamila says, "Happy HTML Tweaking"

Kamila Knows About Lingerie and What It Can Do!

Kamila is a camel, we all know that. She is also a blogger who has something to say and an opinion on many things, we also know that. What we don;t know though is how she feels about not having other camels about. There are many humans, but camel are scarce to say the least. Kamila knows that there are other camel in Bulgaria and not just confined to zoos. She has yet to meet one and often dreams about this moment that may come.

Dreaming means you are free from everything and camel tells us that she does dreams quite often and lets on what is is about most of he time. She dreamed of lingerie the other night, this was quite hard to believe as camels do not normally wear this kind of romantic clothing. Kamila said that she looks a bit ridiculous in lingerie in her dream but that sparked up a good idea. Kamila went on to explains that the very next day she said went shopping and bought some lovely lingerie as a gift for a good female friend of her's. She thought it would 'spice' up the romance with her partner and with Valentine Day coming up, this would be a good time for the opportunity to rekindle a little romance between them.

Kamlia went on by saying that love or romance is all about two people (or camels) caring enough about their partner and making an effort and an example of this is wearing beautiful Lingerie to give more romantic evenings and bedtime moments. Whether is it a special occasion or not Kamila says that lingerie says a lot about romance.

We were amazed at Kamila's perception of lingerie and quite taken back by her care for other people int he romance department. We do hope that one day she does meet another camel and falls in love. who knows, last years she got a Valentine card, but it still remains a mystery. Perhaps this year she may have another one or more. Let's also hope that Kamila carries on dreaming beautiful and happy dreams, we love hearing about them.

Thai Massage - Good For Camel Humps?

Thai Massage - Good For Camel Humps?
Kamila has a few expatriate friends in Thailand and she often visits their blogs that give a great insight to that part of the world. It may sound quite strange but the habits and traditions of the Thai peoples are quite close to the way things are in Bulgaria.

It came to Kamila’s notice that many people have a lot to learn from foreign cultures such as Bulgarian and Thai regions. They both have a family based society that cares for each other; this is vital in poverty stricken societies of which both have in common.

The health is also very important and in Bulgaria and Thailand many people live to a ripe of age, not just down to diet but lifestyle and alternative medical practices. One alternative method of medical practice that stood out from Thailand to Kamila was the Thai massage. She had read a few accounts of this particular style of massage in a few blogs last year and it was still fresh in her mind when she saw that there was a thai massage video available. You don’t’ have to spend wads of money with thai massage training as you can do-it-yourself using the video and get the benefits free of charge once mastered.

Thai massage is reputed to be one of the best forms of massage and reaches parts other massages can’t reach and that for Kamila may be of benefit to her hump, which has been suffering a bit in the Bulgarian winter.

Kamila is quite keen to learn, but camel hoofs aren’t quite up to Thai Massage practices so she is at a disadvantage. But to someone who has hands the skills learnt could quite easily be a money earner if the massage is practices on paying guests.

“Now there’s an idea!” Kamila says

No Winnings Yet, But Lots Of Love Waiting Around

No Winning Yet, But Lots Of Love Wating AroundAs you may have noticed Kamila has been doing some paid reviews and is quite open about it. With a PR not stuck at 0 there are only a few opportunities that Kamila is offered. She obviously takes them without any fear as PR0 can't get lower. A few buck here and there all helps at the end of the day.

Kamila has also added a reputable dating site banner above her posts. She knows that true love is very hard to find and she hope that this may help people who really could do with some. It is free to sign up, write up and publish your profile and browse to your hearts content. Kamila of course would find it quite difficult to find other camels looking for love online. One day perhaps there might be a male camel in Bulgaria whom she can date. She did get a Valetine card form someone last February but has still not found out who it was from. Until then all she can do is wish and watch others fall in love around her.

No winnings in competitions yet, but early days and Kamila will be pushing for more over the next week. There seems to be quite a few new competitions coming out right now – It’s the in things at the moment it seems and of course quite a lot of fun.

Finally, Kamila is also saving money at home by helping bottle vegetables that are very cheap in the markets at the moment. This will last right through the winter when the prices will rise in the market. Being a vegetarian camel, this food is just up Kamila’s street.

“Love and Peace to all!” says Kamila

Cornyman Needs A Lift - EC Members Can Help

Kamila has come back from grape picking for four days and just heard that Cornyman has cancel the whopping 1,000,000 EC contest due to lack of support which is giving no real benefit to the generous sponsors who put up an incredible amount of cash EC credits and other goodies. This is was a big shock for Kamila who was the first blogger to be put up for the competition.

Kamila knows that Cornyman has put in a tremendous amount effort and dedication to this competition and in return it has gone pear shaped. Making a financial success out of blogging is a hard game as many have found out and given up. Kamila just hopes that Cornyman bounces back with new vigour and doesn’t let this put him off from trying other enterprises in the blogging world.

It is true to say from a Camel who has been blogging now for well over a year now that the blogging world needs more people like Cornyman or Martin those who don’t know. People like him make the blogging world tick and many bloggers including Kamila are more than grateful for his efforts that certainly haven’t gone unnoticed.

Kamila suggests that all people who appreciate Martin’s efforts that they should comment on his blog thanking him for his tremendous and ambitious effort. Kamila has done this already. Martin certainly needs a lift right now and bloggers who care like Kamila and many other EC members can help with this Here's the link ----> http://cornys-moneypage.blogspot.com/

Kamila Thinks Too Much

Opening (inverted) and closing question marks ...

Essentially Kamila is writing for a living and currently earns just under $1 a day from passive advertising and pay per clicks systems and sporadic earning ranging from $1 to $10 from sponsored posts. Kamila feels that the time spent working is not really commensurate to the earning she makes, it is well below the minimum wage, even for camels.

She spends at least two hours a day online, but she looks at it from the point of a hobby rather than work. The money she gets form it is a bonus. She does feel that many people earn money or gain reward from hobbies. Take gardening for instance, a great hobby with the fruits and vegetables as payment. Blogging is no different as far a Kamila can see.

Kamila is more than happy to continue blogging, but what would happen if the earning disappeared? Would Kamila carry on blogging everyday for no money?

Kamila has thought this about this and she is not quite sure of the answer. She loves people to know about what she gets up to and of course she still has to pay for the electric and Internet connection fees so she would be running at a loss is revenue stopped. Also she does need an income to help the family she is living with who struggle as it is. She would have to find another source of income outside her blogging hobby, pretty difficult for a camel that can’t write or speak Bulgarian!

“Living from day-to-day” is the family motto here. Kamila is a worrier and we often tell her to not worry about tomorrow as tomorrow never comes. So the thoughts of blogging earning drying up shouldn’t be worried about, it may never happen.

“Kamila you do too much thinking,” we tell Kamila.

“I know,” she replies.

Entrecard Drop and Linger Idea

The Way The Ball Bounces

Kamila is now regularly dropping on 50 Entrecard members a day. For most people and camels this should take about 20-30 minutes, but for Kamila is takes her nearly an hour, as she gets distracted from the task of dropping into the task of reading interesting posts.

This of course is a benefit for both camel and Entrecard members who Kamila call on. From Kamila’s point of view she is learning man y things as she travels through wave after wave of post, many about how to blog successfully. On the other side, each read she makes when Google will not see these particular drops as ‘bounce’ hits.

Perhaps it might be a good idea to start up a reciprocal group where the droppers purposely hang around on dropping to get the ‘full’ credit of a genuine visit. Kamila knows there must be a market out there for such a service from what she reads.

If there is any interest from anyone, Kamila would like to know and she’ll put them of the list of daily drops ensuring that when she does drop, she’ll linger. Of course she’d like any party to do the same – It is a trusting camel that asks.

“Enjoy your Sunday” says Kamila.

Pay Per Post Don't Like Camels - Allegedly

PayPerPost

Kamila was very surprised to receive an email from Pay Per Post telling here that her application to join up as a writer had been declined. She wasn’t angry, just confused as to why many other blogs of a lesser standard and certainly much poorer traffic had gained acceptance and she hadn’t. Maybe they just don’t like camels was her immediate thought on the matter.

Pay Per Post Doesn't Like Camels - AllegedlyShe is not worried as she knows that she is quite capable of writing sponsored posts after all she has already been paid to do so by Blogsvertise. They seemed quite happen to have a camel write for them.

Right now Kamila is happy to plod on and perhaps look for other sponsored organisations she can join up with, there are plenty around, beside Pay Per Post are generally very poor payers.

Happier Days ahead for Kamila

It's Sunday - Day Of Rest

It is Sunday today and Kamila has had a very busy week of ups and downs. The weather is great and she has decided to take a day off to relax. She certainly deserves it.It's Sunday - Day Of Rest

In this new business world of Kamila, it is important not just for camel bloggers, but other bloggers not to overdo things. Kamila knows that all work and no play can lead to problems with your health and that doesn’t help your business.

She really is quite a wise camel is Kamila!

Kamila Has Found ShopWiki - She's Excited

Kamila has been surfing the Internet and it is with great interest that she came across ShopWiki as being a women, shopping took her into the site out of curiosity. When she went into the ShopWiki site, Kamila was quite taken aback with what you can buy there – “Everything under the sun!” she told us. She found out that this ShopWiki site crawls the web for every online store without any commission interest whatsoever unlike many other online shopping from a camel’s point of view.

As she wondered around the site she came across advice for pet owners that had many of her animal relatives as pets such as dog care and her feline friends cat care. She went on to see that small pets were catered for such as hamsters and birds. She’d never seen so much advice given for free.

Now a camel being a kind of pet as well tried to look up advice on camels, but no real ones, then she realised camel aren’t really pets but working camels, but she did find a section on Lama care a cousin of hers.

Kamila knew that she was being distracted by seeing all the care advice that was being given to her animal relatives and go back into shopping mode.

“What can I buy? Kamila asked.

“Well!” we said, “You said it Kamila, Anything under the sun!

“Looks like I’ll have come back again when I’ve made my mind up,” Kamila replied, as she was now deep in thought about what she could now decide to buy ShopWiki, her new Internet site discovery.

We thought we heard Kamila whisper, “I wonder whether ShopWiki can find me a male camel friend?”

Oh dear we think Kamila has realised spring is here.

Kamila's Treasured Award

Kamila's Treasured AwardEvery day is an adventure and full of surprises and today the surprise was another award - "The Friends Forever Treasured Award" from Laura her treasued friend at A Touch Of Scrap.

The blushes came out again as Kamila realised that another touch of fame has come over here. But at the same time she can't understand why all this fuss is being made as she just gets on with things like everone else, including camels. She feels that she has done nothing special other than telling people what goes on in here life and how she feels.

Well Kamila, you are not an ordinary camel as you are very fortunate to travel to lands without deserts and meet the kindest people on earth, both in Bulgaria and Bloggers.

Kamila simple said nothing after that comment and just slowly walked away into the kitchen to do more jobs helping Baba with many thoughts of how lucky she is in this world. Lucky indeed in a world seemingly that has so much hate in it - At least that's what Kamila sees on television, but a kind world is there to see looking out on the Yambol streets, to Kamila this is the real news!

It has been a hard couple of days for Kamila as she had to nominate 5 friends in which to pass this award on to. She finally arrive at the five who now will have this bestowed upon them. They of course can pass this on to another 5 treasured friends in their circles.

Kamila and Baba - The Caring Couple

Kamila and Baba - The Caring Couple
It has been quite a while in Bulgaria now for Kamila with relationships with many people here becoming cemented. Although Kamila has many friends now here, one friend stands out from the rest. Baba and Kamila spend all day together as we are working most days. The spend lots of time together helping each other and making watch other happy.

Baba is getting on a bit and Kamila realizes that often asking if she is feeling well enough to do certain chores. Of course Baba would never admit to being too ill to tackle jobs. Kamila being a much wiser camel than she was last year knows that Baba’s pride is a danger to herself so Kamila secretly does certain jobs for here to reduce the burden.

They just love each other’s company making each other laugh throughout the day, also with the friendship any problems they may have are talked about, they confide in each other about many things we don’t hear about, that’s how close they are.

It seems that Kamila is bound to stay in Bulgaria indefinitely, as she said the other day, “I love Baba and never want to leave her.” Well we all feel that way about Baba, but also about Kamila, the home certainly wouldn’t be the same without either of them.

Where is Bulgaria?

Where is Bulgaria? It was quite a curious Kamila who found a globe of the world on a shelf today. The questions started directly she saw it. After explaining that a globe was like a map on a football, the curiosity now focussed on where different countries were including of course Egypt, England and Bulgaria, all countries Kamila had lived in.

It was quite a shock to Kamila that Bulgaria was so small compared to many other countries and that Europe wasn't that big either. "Russia is a big country," Kamila commented as she surveyed the globe further.
"Well, most of Russia is cold, it can't grow food like we can here," we reminded Kamila.

All evening Kamila studied the globe with fascination as she discovered more and more about where different countries are in relation to where we are.

At the end of the evening just before it was time to go to bed, Kamila just paused for thought again and said. "It doesn't matter where you come from in this world, as long as you have respect for other nationalities."

Well we didn't know what to say in reply to that coming from a seemingly ever-wiser camel. But we agreed with what she said as she put her head down to sleep.

The First Christmas Eve for Kamila in Bulgaria

The First Christmas Eve for Kamila in BulgariaIt was celebrations all round as Bulgaria celebrated its biggest party of the year on New Year Eve. Kamila really didn't know what to expect as this was the first Christmas here, but it didn't take long for her to get an insight as to what goes on during this period.

It was quite surprising for Kamila to see that most homes here in Yambol don't have lights or fancy Christmas trees but maybe just a little tinsel around a window or door, that's it. What she did realise was the amount of family get together that happened and everyone just enjoying the company and conversation alongside delicious food, drink and music.

It was Christmas Eve that Kamila discovered beer. She had tried it before and didn’t like it but this evening somehow it tasted different, maybe because of the company and atmosphere; who knows? On thing was for sure though, it was respected and only one bottle was drunk the whole evening. It went down really well with much of the traditional vegetarian food Kamila ate this particular evening, the menu was designed for her.

All Kamila's friends were there as the talked and danced the evening away, never forgetting the reason this evening was celebrated with a little prayer all together before the party started. Who knows we told Kamila, your ancestors might have been one of the Camels that the three kings travelled on to see Jesus in the stable.

That thought stuck with Kamila all evening and made it even more special.

Money For Christmas Shopping

Money For Christmas ShoppingWell it's now approaching the time to do a little shopping we told Kamila today. We had set a little money aside for Kamila to do here Christmas shopping. Kamila had not dealt with money before so she was a bit bemused when we presented it to her.

She looked at it and asked "What do I do with this?"

It is very simple we explained. "You look for something to buy, find out how much it is decided whether it is a good buy and swap it the money."

Kamila was quite excited with the prospect of looking for something to swap for money, but then there was a little pause and another question was fired at us. "Where did you get this money?"

"We worked for it Kamila" we told her. "We go to work and for the work we do for other people they pay us money. Sometimes we work for ourselves, selling things we have made for money or getting paid for selling books we have written."

"I'd like to work and earn money." Kamila sighed as she gathered the money feeling slightly guilty she hadn't worked for it.

"Next year Kamila, we'll give you chores and you can then start earning, but just enjoy the shopping with this money until then." we told her.

Kamila sprung to life again and announced, "I won't be spending it on myself anyway, everything I buy will be little presents for everyone."

With this we prepared to go to town, and another adventure for Kamila shopping. We know she'll love it, she's female camel.

Why a Fence?

"Why have you put a wire fence all around you house?" Kamila asked as she surveyed the front garden once again. "If there was no stealing here and no crime wouldn't it be better to take it down, it spoils the view."

"Kamila," we said. The fencing isn't there to keep people out, it is there to keep all the animal out, people aren't a problem but animals are. They would eat all out crops and flowers in a day if they got in!" we added.

We went on to say,"The turkey are the worst, they can fly quite high gettgin over low barriers quite easily and are a nuisance."

Kamila replied by saying. "I didn't realise that and forgot that not all animal are the same as me, they don't know what stealing means, but I do."

"Kamila, you are a very special camel to think like that." we said. Kamila agreed that the fence in the end was a good idea
